I love all the things that come with fall. Wrapped in a blanket around a bonfire, making smores. The smell in the air. The orange and red leaves. All things pumpkins and apples. I am constantly counting down the days until I can finally live in one of my many flannel shirts (the perfect accessory to any outfit).
I believe in a powerful, almighty God who sets captives free, heals the sick, and loves to no ends. I believe in laughter, in dreaming, in family, in friends, in seeking the best, in indulging, in loving, in living.
I live in Colorado, by way of Missouri with a 5 year pit-stop in Kansas. I'm much more likely to say I'm from Kansas than Missouri because Kansas is where I really grew up and into myself. I'm a graduate of the University of Kansas with a bachelor's in social work. I've also lived in England, which is pretty cool and I WILL tell you all about it (probably too much) if you ask.
Recently graduate of seminary with a masters degree in mental health counseling, in my first apartment without a roommate (besides my cat), single with a lot of married friends, and trying to make all aspects of my life click together harmoniously.
I love traveling and new adventures. I love trying new foods, coffee, the outdoors (except snakes, I hate snakes), all things vintage (especially lanterns), and cute animals. I have a cat named Mu (pronounced moo) who is my world.
I refuse to ever follow a recipe exactly and I constantly make things up (which is documented on this blog a lot). I think hot glue is the duct tape of crafts (I made curtains with it that looked pretty darn great). I was a party/event/wedding planner in another life (seriously).
I'm excited you've stumbled upon my blog and I hope that you will stay awhile.
